Air-under-water-method

Test medium: Pressurized air or nitrogen

Detectable leakage rates: >0.05 cc/min

Testing method:

Test piece is pressurized under water. Bubble formation at leakages is usually observed manually, sometimes detected using ultra-sonic sensors.

Advantages:

  • simple leakage localization
  • rather small leakages detectable

Drawbacks:

  • test specimens get wet
  • often high expenditure for water treatment
  • evaluation usually operator dependent
  • quantitative leakage rate determination difficult

We supply leakage testing instruments, testing instruments, test engineering as well as measuring instruments for leakage measuring, leak testing, leakage testing, flow measurement and quality assurance
