Functional principle hydrogen method (integral test)
Test medium: Forming gas (5% Hydrogen (H2) / 95% Nitrogen (N2))
Detectable leakage rates: >0.1 cc/min
Method:
Test specimen is pressurized. Test gas flowing out through leakages is homogenized using fans in a bell enclosing the test specimen. By taking a gas sample the gas concentration is determined. After calibration with a test leak the overall leakage rate can be determined quantitatively.
