Volume-Flow method

Test medium: Pressurized air resp. vacuum

Detectable leakage rates: >300 cc/min

Testing method:
Test specimen is pressurized/evacuated. Air flowing out/in through leakages is replaced using a laminar flow element and the volume flow determined.

Durchflussmessung

Advantages:

  • very fast testing possible due to the instantaneous measuring signal
  • large measuring range
  • usable for leakage testing and flow measuring

Drawbacks:

  • unsuitable for low leakage rates
  • for each pressure point separate calibration necessary
