Test Leak

Test leaks are used to simulate leaks when adjusting or monitoring leak testing equipment.

They are integrated into the test circuit instead of a test object or parallel to a leak-tight test object. A fixed flow resistance is specified by a glass capillary specially adapted to the desired leakage rate. The glass capillary is installed in a stainless steel housing and protected from contamination by filters.

Other terms such as reference leak, calibration leak, test leak or fixed leak are also used for test leaks.
