Reference leaks for simulating leakages

A test leak is a reference or setting standard with a defined flow rate at a defined test pressure. Other terms such as reference leak, calibration leak, test leak or fixed leak are also used for test leaks.

Test leaks are used to simulate leaks during the adjustment or regular monitoring of leak testers. They are integrated into the test circuit instead of a test specimen or parallel to a sealed test specimen.

A fixed flow resistance is specified by a glass capillary specially adapted to the desired leakage rate.

The glass capillary is installed in a stainless steel housing and protected from contamination by filters.

The test leak is a test standard and should therefore be handled with the appropriate care. That’s why we supply our test leaks in a plastic box with good padding so that your test leak can always be stored safely and securely.
