The marking of components that are rated as "good" after testing primarily serves to reliably distinguish between good and bad parts.
In the simplest case, marking is carried out with a center punch or with a color marking. More complex markings are carried out with impact digits or hot stamping dies, depending on the material of the component. If the components are subject to documentation requirements, inkjet printers or laser marking devices are often used.
