Data protection

All personal data collected on the website of Dr. Wiesner Steuerungstechnik GmbH are stored and processed solely for the purposes of providing individual customer service, the transmission of product information or the submission of service quotations. The Dr. Wiesner Company Steuerungstechnik GmbH ensures that your data are treated confidentially in compliance with the applicable legal provisions on privacy protection.

Handling of personal data

Personal data are classified as information, by means of which a person is identifiable, i.e. particulars that can be traced back to an individual. Such information includes the name, the email address or phone number. Personal data are only collected, used and passed on by the provider to the extent permitted by law or where users give their consent to the collection of such data.

Contact

When contact is established to the provider (e.g. using the contact form or by email), user data are stored for the purpose of handling an enquiry as well as for responding to any follow-up enquiries that may arise.

Server log files

The site provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files which your browser automatically transmits to us. This involves the following:

  • Browser type / browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server enquiry

These data are not assignable to any specific individuals. None of these data will be merged with other sources of information. We reserve the right to carry out subsequent checks of these data if we become aware of concrete evidence pertaining to illegal use thereof.

Integration of third-party services and contents

It may happen that third-party contents are integrated into this online offer as for example YouTube videos, Google maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always assumes that providers of such contents (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the user’s IP address. This happens because, without the IP address, it would not possible to send the contents to the browser of the relevant user. Thus, the IP address is necessary for the purpose of displaying the said contents. We make every effort to restrict use of such contents to cases where the respective providers thereof solely make use of the IP address for supplying the contents. However, we have no control over the circumstances that may arise in the event of third-party providers storing the IP address e.g. for statistical purposes. If coming to our notice, we clarify this with the users accordingly.

Cookies

Cookies are small files facilitating the storage of specific device-related information on the accessing device of users (PC, Smartphone and the like). On the one hand, this information serves to enhance the user-friendliness of websites and the benefit of users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, it is employed to collect statistical data on the use of the website and to facilitate their analysis for the purpose of optimising the offer. Users can exert a controlling influence on the use of cookies. The majority of browsers feature an option, by means of which the storage of cookies is restricted or completely prevented. It is worth pointing out, however, that the use – and more especially user convenience – is limited without the use of cookies.

SSL encryption

For security reasons and for protecting the disclosure of confidential contents, as for instance enquiries sent by you to Dr. Wiesner Steuerungstechnik GmbH, this site makes use of an SSL encryption feature. An encrypted connection can be recognised by change in the address field of the browser from "http://" to "https://" as well as by the lock icon in your browser line. When the SSL encryption feature is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
